Member
Resources Program
Many section members have volunteered to serve as member resources
to those who are opening a new private practice, struggling
with a practice management issue or expanding into a new niche
area of practice. The PPS Member Resources Program links experienced
private practice physical therapists with fellow section members
who have similar interests but lack experience. The resources
are listed by geographic area (state), last name or specialty
area. There is also a list of frequently asked questions to
guide you through the process and make sure that the member
resource program is what you are looking for.
Please be sensitive to the time that you spend with the member
resources. If your issue is one that requires significant
input or research, you may be in need of a consultant. The
member resource you contact should feel free to advise you
if this is the case. See the next bullet for information regarding
consultants.
Networking
Attend the PPS annual conference where we provide numerous
activities that encourage networking with other practice owners
who are ready and willing to share information.
Consulting
Services Network
The APTA provides a consulting services network for all members.
Consultants in the network who are PPS members will be identified
to you upon request. There are many factors
to consider when choosing a consultant. The consultants
are grouped by their specialty areas and geographic location.
You will be given the names of at least 3 consultants to interview
and choose from. For more information visit the APTA web site
