Private Practice Section,
APTA
Committees and Task Forces
Awards
Manage the annual member recognition programs to recognize
members who have made exceptional contributions to the Section
and/or the profession. Awards include the Robert G. Dicus
Award, Section Achievement Award, Section Practice Award and
the Friend(s) of the Practice Award.
Bylaws
Review, maintain, and update the bylaws of the Section
Finance
Monitor and review the financial activities of the Section,
including its budgets, investments and annual audit.
Government Affairs
Review proposed legislation and regulatory activities, taking
timely action to support or oppose issues that affect the
profession and Section. The Section’s CAP3 grassroots
program is part of this committee’s responsibilities.
IMPACT Editorial Board
Oversee the production of and contribute articles to IMPACT,
the official Section magazine.
Member Services
Review and make recommendations to enhance member services.
Nominating
Identify, review and recommend individuals who are qualified
and willing to serve on the Board of Directors and the Nominating
Committee
Program Committee
This committee is made up of 3 work groups that plan and develop
educational programming for the PPS annual conference programming,
APTA Combined Sections Meeting, and PPS web/audio casts.
Reimbursement
Review issues related to reimbursement and take action to
support or oppose issues that affect private practitioners.
The committee provides resources and references to members
on common issues.
